Honoring
our seniors -- Our church family gathered to pay tribute to our elders at
our annual seniors' luncheon, Sunday May 4. At left, Pastor Beverly attends her
final lunch for the seniors among her flock at NKUMC. This was also Golden Cross
Sunday which supports UMC retirement centers.
surgery on Thursday and doctors expect a full recovery
in about six weeks. Thank you for all your prayers and continue to keep Safiatu
and her families in your prayers. This is wonderful news and something we have
all been praying for all these years.

Beverly Stenmark came
to North Kingstown United Methodist Church in July 1997. She will leave in June to become the superintendent of the Mid Maine district of the New England
Conference, closing out a remarkable 11-year run as our pastor....
