The choir, under the direction of Paul Mancini and accompanied by Bruce Reirden on guitar, performs. The flowers on the altar today celebrated the 10th anniversary of Fiona Halstead's liver transplant and were donated by her parents Wendy and Warren. The church congregation helped raise funds to pay for the successful transplant. Money left over from the Fiona Project was the seed money that launched a campaign to bring Safiatu Bah to America for heart surgery. Safiatu lighted today's altar candles at the start of worship. |

Talking music? The Rev. F. Richard Garland, at left, who wrote the words for today's Advent Hymn, "Come With Rejoicing," chats with Neil H. Fick. Neil originally played our organ at a church in Beacon, NY before it was donated and moved to North Kingstown UMC when our sanctuary was constructed. Mr. Fick was visiting today and wanted to hear the organ again before it is shut down for repairs in January 2010. Link to the history of our organ story and emails from Neil Fick |
