M Mancini, Sr. Named Music Director at North Kingstown UMC

The Staff Parish Relations Committee is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr.
Paul M. Mancini, Sr. (photo at right) as the new Music Director for North Kingstown United
Methodist Church. Mr. Mancini is a native of Rhode Island and well known
throughout the Ocean State for his work with the Rhode Island Philharmonic
Orchestra, the Rhode Island Civic Choral and Orchestra, and his many years as
Director of Choral Activities in the Cranston Public School System and the
Diocese of Fall River. He served at Asbury United Methodist for many years. He
is the co-founder of the Ocean State Children’s Choir and presently the organist
and music director at Orchard Church in Cranston.
He is the past President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association. He has conducted various choirs as they have toured the Soviet Union, Australia, and Europe. He has conducted the New Hampshire and the Rhode Island All State choirs. He will begin rehearsals with our Chancel Choir Tuesday, October 6, and we will welcome him to our worship on October 18th .
Mr. Mancini is married and lives in Cranston. He and his wife, Joann, have two children and several grandchildren.
