Kathy Koziol resigns as music director to balance family with full-time employment; Church searches for new music director

Kathy Koziol, (photo at left) who has been music director at North Kingstown United Methodist Church for several years, has resigned her position effective September 1, 2009. Kathy has accepted full-time employment, and with a family of two young children, feels she will no longer have the time to devote to the church position she has performed so well over the years. The Pastor-Parish Relations committee has launched a search for her replacement, naming Nancy Mason as the chair person for the search committee. The committee's search will include several advertisements in local papers and in the district and New England Conference.

Pastor Lori Eldredge made the announcement on Sunday August 2, 2009. Kathy received applause from the congregation when the announcement was made during both services.

More information on the position of music director can be found at http://www.nkumcri.com/nkumcri/musicdirector.html. If you know of someone who may be interested in this salaried staff position, please forward the link to them or contact the church office.
