Special Church Conference approves generous gift of nearly $60,000 to repair and upgrade church pipe organ
Members voted unanimously to accept an anonymous gift to repair the church pipe organ and upgrade it. The work is expected to take two to three months and may be scheduled after January. The addition of computers to the organ, which is estimated to have been originally built in the late 1940s, will allow enhanced features while maintaining the quality of the sound through the pipes. The organ has an interesting history, having been recovered from a Baptist church in Beacon, NY. Read more about how the church obtained this organ in the early 1980s.
